Remember September 💜
September is a time to remember those whose lives were taken by pancreatic cancer, and to walk for the ones still fighting.
On the 22nd of September, my life changed forever.
I searched for you everywhere — in my dreams and through my nightmares, in my memories, in the stars above. I searched in the wind on my skin, in rainbows and butterflies. I looked for you in the quiet nights and the longest days.
I pushed through the tears, the darkness, the fear, and the pain. I pushed through the smiles, and the busy days that still felt so empty, just wishing to feel you again.
Then one day, high above the clouds,I felt you. The higher the plane went, the closer I felt. Floating above a sea of white, with a song playing in my ears, I whispered to you — hi. And for the first time, I felt close to you again.
In that moment, I realised… I don’t need to search anymore. I don’t need to push through.
Because you’ve been with me all along — in my heart, in my steps, and in my breath.
