Support my challenge to fight pancreatic cancer

This September, I'm walking 75km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

Pancreatic cancer is now the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 13% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.

But research can change this. Your support will fund ground-breaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease.

Moving it for pancreatic cancer research may have wrapped for September, but the fight for awareness is far from over .

It is not too late to donate.

This November, the world goes purple for #WorldPancreaticCancerDay and I would love to see more businesses and communities light up in support.

Shout out to one very lucky lady.

On Friday, she left the AFL Ladies Luncheon with the Norm Smith medallist under her arm (ok it was a cardboard cutout- Lucky- as she outbid me for this prize).

Then this morning, she won this magnificent prize in the Pankind raffle.

Congratulations Karen McMullen of Triple M Hobart.

Thank you everyone for supporting this fundraiser raffle.

Our team total is increasing and I am so proud to be part of this wider national collective team effort, which thus far has raised over $2.5 Million for Pankind, Pancreatic Cancer Australia during September, which will be used to fund game changing research.

Last Day- a note of thanks

Hey amazing people! Today is the last day of Remember September and we have so much to be thankful for…

Pankind have announced that this month, over 7,600 passionate people across Australia have united to remember those lost, and stand with those impacted by pancreatic cancer.

So far, an outstanding $2,423,330 has been collectively raised to fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research.

THANK YOU to each and every person who has been taking part, donating, fundraising or supporting someone in our community. 🙏

Together, we are stronger. Show people impacted by pancreatic cancer that they are not alone… we stand with them!

Thank you to all the firms who supported the dinner in Hobart, to Novellino for the venue and food, to the host Debra for this wonderful idea, and to all the attendees.

Over $1000 was raised on the night, while the raffle will still continue to raise funds until 1 October!

This September, over 7,440 incredible people across Australia are walking or giving up a vice to remember those lost and to stand with those impacted by pancreatic cancer.

Every dollar raised, every step taken and every story shared is bringing Pankind, Pancreatic Cancer Australia closer to their mission to triple survival rates by 2030.

From the pan can community, a massive THANK YOU to every participant, donor, advocate, carer, survivor and supporter- united and fighting for a world WITHOUT pancreatic cancer.
