Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer

This September, I'm walking 75km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.

But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease.

Why it’s important to me

Just over 10 years ago my mum got indigestion that she just couldn’t shake. She had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. 
9 years ago she passed at the age of 59. Her father had also passed from it. Her mother from breast cancer. 
Around a year after my mum passed research discovered a new genetic mutation and posthumously tested my mums blood. She had this mutation (PALB2). We now knew why both her and her father got pancreatic cancer. 
I also have this gene mutation and readily participate in studies to find detection systems, treatments, and hopefully even a cure. But none of that is possibly without funding.
