Support my challenge to fight pancreatic cancer
In June 2023, my Granma and best friend was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The cancer was also in her liver, lungs and bowel. She fought so hard for months and went through chemotherapy to try and stop the cancer from growing. She took her last breath on the 2nd of October, 2023. 💜🪽🦋
This September, I'm walking 71km for the 71 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
Pancreatic cancer is now the 4th biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 12.5% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.
