Support my challenge to fight pancreatic cancer
As the warmer months come along i thought id try a fundraiser again, this time for something more closer to home our uncle tim was diagnosed with a rare pancreatic cancer and he donated his body for research so others would find out more about this type of cancer, my help may be small but it helps the research and im all for that just like Tim did. 😊
This September, I'm walking 75km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
Pancreatic cancer is now the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 13% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.
But research can change this. Your support will fund ground-breaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease.
Please make a donation to support me, and together...
We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.

Why My Boots Are Walking This September To Remember Uncle Tim
Wednesday 3rd Sep
Im doing this walk for my favourite uncle growing up Tim, he was a nomad and was always off in another state all together, but would always call my grandma Pauline and grandad Pete to check in. I will always remember our trip to Coffs Harbour where he made bananas over the fire and his Blue Swimmer Crabs he caught. He was fun, always had a smile on his face and his stories were out of this world. He became sick and within a couple months he was gone on the 26th April 2016 he was 54 years old, a phone call i will never forget. He had Mucinous adenocarcinoma secondaries to the lung and pancreas. He forever left a whole in the family, but i will never let his spirit be left to the wind, i will walk this September for him as he was a traveller and just down to earth. Every walk i will remember him, every step will be a tribute to his memories i hold dear, Uncle Tim this is for you!
