Support my challenge to fight pancreatic cancer and to honour Craig and Dad and all those we have lost to PC
This September, I'm walking 100km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
With only a week to go, I have been stepping out most days so that I can smash the 100k I have committed to in September.
To the anonymous donor who has so generously already donated, was thrilled when you ‘fessed up as to your identity. Your connection to your grandfather and cousin is heartfelt. Now, that has got all the family wondering🤔.
Pancreatic cancer is now the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 13% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.
But research can change this. Your support will fund ground-breaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 100km to fight this terrible disease.
Please make a donation to support me, and together...
We will remember Craig and Dad, both lost to pancreatic cancer. We will honour them. We will fight for them. And for all those lost to others and for those currently fighting and their families.

Thursday 25th Sep Good morning to you all, family and friends, With your support, I have made the 100 km challenge with a couple of days to spare. I initially thought before signing up again, that I would set a goal of 150km. However, the sensible one in the family suggested that I might need to reconsider, given that was more than my previous best and that I am a year older. Again, wise words from my long suffering supporter of 56 years. Your donations are really appreciated and will allow the work being done to find ways to early diagnose pancreatic cancer, to continue. When you look at the progress that has been made on diagnosis, treatment, chemo and immunotherapy in relation to a host of other cancers, we can continue to live in hope that similar progress will be made regarding PC. So thank you all -I have been focused and disciplined during Remember September, and I know you all have supported me and spurred me on remotely. Love to everyone Janelle Share
Are we there yet? well almost 🤗

Day 3 done and dusted
Wednesday 3rd Sep Started off a little slowly this morning after having played lawn bowls yesterday - 28 ends of 3 bowl pairs on top of my 5k left me a little fatigued last night. However, after a couple of Kms the old body started to respond and I stepped out with determination. The courage and bravery shown by our loved ones whilst trying to fight PC, and are currently fighting, spurs us all on. ShareThank you to my Sponsors

Walking for the 4th year in memory of 2 dearly loved men in our family, a grandfather and his grandson, both lost to PC. Also in support of the families of all those lost to PC. And thank you to the researchers for their amazing work. Together we will get there.
