Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer

It's been just over 2 years since my family and I lost mum. It was the hardest time my family and I had ever faced. The support we received from family and friends was truly remarkable, and now I want to help others who are, or may end up, going through the same thing.That is why this September, I'm walking 75km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week. Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating. Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia. But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates. So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease. Please make a donation to support me, and together... We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.

After 1 week of running and walking im feeling a lot better. The muscles aren't as sore after running and im able to run longer without rests. It has been a long time since I've exercised consistently and my aim is to continue exercising on a consistent basis well after September ends. Thank you Mum and Pankind for inspiring and pushing me. I hope I'm making you proud 💛 (photo is of mum and dad on one of their overseas holidays)

First run complete!

Monday 1st Sep
It's been my first run for a very long time. Happy to have done it for my mum, Julie. I took my dogs with me so it took a bit longer than usual. I'm keen to do the same run without them to compare my time. Time to rest the legs and prepare for tomorrow's run!
