Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm running 75km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week. I deleted ‘walking’ and made it ‘running’ because I already walk over 75km a month and haven’t run anywhere near 75km a month for over 20 years.
Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease.

Day 18
Friday 19th Sep 12 days and a bit over 25km to run. Today should have been a day off but, because I didn’t run as far as I planned to yesterday, I did a bit over 1km with Ned this morning. Share
Progress day 7
Sunday 7th Sep Did around 5km today, running, of course. I’m not logging walks. Roughly 22km aggregate so far. Although painful, the knee is holding up reasonably well; I’ve only taken 2 (very strong) anti-inflammatories so far in the month. I’m on track to reach both of my goals: less than $200 to reach my funding target (more than happy to exceed it though); and I’m about 2km ahead of my average required to get to 75km by 30 September. cheers!
