Support my challenge to fight pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking 75km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week. In March 2024 I lost my dear dad to pancreatic cancer, only 15 weeks after being diagnosed. It's impossible to put into words how devastating it was, and how unfair it felt to watch the life drain out of someone so quickly. Despite his best efforts to survive and remain positive until the end, we lost him far too soon.
Pancreatic cancer is now the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 13% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.
But research can change this. Your support will fund ground-breaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease.
