Support my challenge to fight pancreatic cancer

This September, I'm walking 142km for the 71 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

Pancreatic cancer is now the 4th biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 12.5% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.

But research can change this. Your support will fund life-saving pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 142km to fight this terrible disease.

Please make a donation to support me, and together...

We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.

My Updates

Day 6

Friday 20th Sep
12/9 Donnelly River to Karri Gully on the Brockman Highway.  Another easy day only 16km.  Began the day with a flat white.  Joy!

So ends the 6 day walk, Patrick, Mike and I made it to the end.  Charles had some knee problems and took some short cuts and did not walk the last day.

Day 5

Friday 20th Sep
11 Sept  Tom Road to   Donnelly River .  An easy 16 km finishing at 1230pm.  Visted the Donnelly River store for a burger and a flat white.  Heaven

Day 4

Tuesday 17th Sep
Boarding house to Tom Road campsite  23.1km.  This was a long day but easy walking mainly on old railway forms with gentle slopes.  Eleven in hut  with many snorers.   Just as well I was tired

Day 3

Tuesday 17th Sep
Beavis to Boarding House shelters.   19.7 km.  This was a tough day   2 steep hills over 100m high.  We did not finish till 430pm  so walking for 9 hours .

Day2

Tuesday 17th Sep
Day 2   Beedelup to Beavis campsite 20km.     At the beginning of the walk I was concerned my left ankle might be a problem   but   so far so good.    Seven in the hut    at night.    Sue Carl and Rod  are 3 walkers going in the same direction so we meet them every night at the huts.

Bibbulmun Track Intro plus day 1

Sunday 15th Sep
The Bibbulmun track is a walking track between Perth and Albany.  It is 1,002km long.  About 180 people per year  walk the track end to end in one go which takes 6 to 8 weeks.   There are  huts  about every 20kms which provide shelter from the rain, a flat place  to sleep and a water tank.    There is no booking system you just turn up and take a spot.  Hopefully the snoring will not be too bad. !  About every 400m  and at cross roads there is a  woggle   to give the direction.   See Woggle above.
I have just walked one section near Pemberton  120km in 6 days.
Day 1 Pemberton  to  Beedulup shelter.

Golf

Friday 6th Sep
On Thursday I walked  all 18 holes in a gale with driving rain.  It is only about 9 km but  because of the conditions it should be double
