Support my Challenge to Fight Pancreatic Cancer

Hi Everyone!

Throughout September, I'm moving 250km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

After losing my grandmother to pancreatic cancer in 2023, this is a cause that is very close to my heart. By participating in this challenge, I strive to honour the legacy of warmth and kindness my grandmother lived out in her everyday life and fight for those affected by this insidious illness.

Pancreatic cancer is now the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

If you are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer tomorrow, there is only a 13% chance you'll be alive in 5 years.

But research can change this. Your support will fund ground-breaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So in September, I'm challenging myself to get up and move 250km to fight this terrible disease.

My Tribute Post

I am taking part in Remember September as tribute to my grandmother Frances, who sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer in September 2023. The time between diagnosis and death was swift for my Nan, emphasising the insidious nature of this disease. It is my mission to live out the values she espoused in her everyday life and the lessons she taught me. Nan was everything a grandmother should be and more. Caring and kind. Selfless and loyal. Firm but fair. She taught me that it costs nothing to be kind, warm and helpful to others, and she touched so many others’ hearts with these values. I am ultimately blessed to have the most beautiful grandmother and I think of her everyday. I will fight for her and those currently affected by pancreatic cancer to help beat this silent killer. Big love 🫶

Hi Everyone!

I am pleased to announce that I have completed my 250km Move It Challenge for pancreatic cancer research. I am very proud and honoured to be part of this cause and I know my Nan would have been proud.

Hi everyone! Just thought I would take a moment to provide an update since we are practically halfway through September.

So far I have completed 125km to stand with those that are or have been affected by pancreatic cancer. I am halfway to reaching my goal of 250km!
