Move It 2025

Day 23 - 8.12kms on wadawurrung country.

Day 23 - 8.12kms on Wadawurrung Country. Massive weather change from the last 10 days! Trying to respect these Southern season changes and not just find it miserable! Smashed out the 8.12kms in one walk later this arvo. Only 26kms left to reach my new goal of 200kms.

Day 22 - 7.25 kms on gangulu, darumbal and wadawurrung lands.

Day 22 - 7.25 KMs on Gangulu, Darumbal and Wadawurrung Lands. Big day of travelling so had to fit in many short mindful walks around transport spaces! Pretty happy with 7.25 💜

Day 21 - 5.1kms on beautiful wet and hot gangulu country.

Day 21 - 5.1kms on beautiful wet and hot Gangulu Country. It poured last night so the land felt so alive this morning. Another hot day so only 5.1kms but a day filled with family and love and learning.......and Mulberry nostalgia 💜

Day 20 - 7kms on hot hot hot gangulu country!

Day 20 - 7kms on hot hot hot Gangulu Country! It was 31 and sunny as heck so walking was a challenge! 🔥 Been busy hanging with family, having a great time. Got 7kms in still though. Had to grab a screenshot from my watch app cos I forgot to take a photo. Anyone else's feet sore?!

Day 19 - 5.4kms, left darumbal and travelled to gangulu country.

Day 19 - 5.4kms, Left Darumbal and travelled to Gangulu Country. One last swim before heading to Gangulu Country, we watched the temperature rise as we travelled into the range. Managed a short 5.4kms today but after the 13 yesterday my arches needed a rest again. ❤️💛🖤 🏔️ 👟 ☀️

Day 18 - 13.3kms walking on mind-blowing darumbal country.

Day 18 - 13.3kms walking on mind-blowing Darumbal Country. Today was full of surprises. Coastal Taipan, many scrub turkeys, perente, rainbow bee eaters, massive sea turtles, Curlews, mangrove fruit bats, rainbow lorikeets and breathtaking views. Felt like I walked through a dozen biomes! Had to soak the heat away in the lagoon after all that. 🌈 🌊 🪸 🐢 🦎 🐍 🐦☀️ 👟

Day 17 - 7.35kms on warm sunny darumbal country ❤️☀️🖤.

Day 17 - 7.35kms on warm sunny Darumbal Country ❤️☀️🖤. Today my body needed to rest so I racked up most of my KMs choosing to walk everywhere we needed to go/do life admin/groceries etc. Plus a little evening walk to pump up the KMs. We saw HEAPS of mangrove fruit bats fly overhead and the millions of rainbow lorikeets again. I soaked my very sore feet in cool water, had a swim, marveled at views and had copious cuppas. 🦇 🌈 🐦 🌊 🌙 👟

Day 16 - 6.2kms of elevation to lookouts and secluded beaches on darumbal country 😲🥴 legs are sore today!

Day 16 - 6.2kms of inclines and wobbly declines to lookouts and secluded beaches on Darumbal Country 😲🥴 legs are sore today! Stunning lookout views and sunset walks. Only managed 6.2kms because of all the elevation but it was so worth it! I think I need an Epsom salt bath and a rest day. Sciatica playing up tonight. See what happens. Can't decide which pics to share so you're getting bombed...... ❤️💛🖤 🌺🌊 🌴 🥥 ☀️

Day 15 - 11.35kms on darumbal country.

Day 15 - 11.35kms on Darumbal Country. Personal best for me for this challenge so far and it took me over my target of 100kms to 108kms! I have now reached both my fundraising and km goals! Wahoo! I walked through mangroves and bayside and ocean and cliff tops and town. Watched fruit bats, gigantic grasshoppers and thousands of rainbow lorikeets, so many we had to yell over them. Brilliant day! Big loves to all our supporters 💜

Day 14 - 7.2km walks and wanders on darumbal country with my love.

Botanic gardens, rivers, creeks, sun, warmth, LOTS of birds, green ant nests, soccer trials, huge gums, tamarind, gelato and ahhhmazing fig trees. Lovely day! ❤️ 🌞 🖤

Day 13 - 10.1kms walking on darumbal country.

Day 13 - 10.1kms walking on Darumbal Country. Loved walking along and over the great and powerful Tunuba (Fitzroy River) also known as Munda-Gadda, the creation spirit from which the land and water was created. It was full of millions of jellyfish which was amazing to see. Looking forward to seeing it all with blue skies tomorrow. Loving some of the local street art too. 💜 🪼 ☁️ 🌺

Day 12 - 7.09kms on both wonderfully warm darumbal and freezing wurundjeri woi-wurrung countries!

Today included hours of travel but still managed just over 7kms of walking! Feet are up and legs are resting but they've gotten stronger quickly. I have also just seen that I've made it to my fundraising goal! Thanks to you all! I'm super stoked, thank you so much everyone, I didn't actually think I'd get there. Love to you all and to everyone participating 💜

Day 11 - 8kms on beautifully unpredictable wadawurrung country!

Nearly 4kms with mum this morning and over 4kms this evening with the cheeky barnong (ring tail possums) and protective plovers. Beautiful night for a walk. Listening to Marx Cassity, 2Sacred album for this evenings walk, always a quick pick me up and captivating emotional roller coaster. If anyone is in the mood/able to donate. All donations are being doubled today up to the amount of 80k!!! I'm so close to my fundraising goal! And only 21kms to reach my 100km goal! Wahoo! 🌃 🫟 🌙 🎵💜

Day 10 - wadawurrung night walking.

I didn't get my shït together until 6pm ish tonight but still managed 6.84kms. Here's a pic of me freezing my butt off. I'm still obsessing over Andrew Gurruwiwi Bands latest album Sing your own Song and basically had it on repeat to push me along. This will get me to 71kms for September so far I think wahoo!

Day 9 - 8kms on wadawurrung country.

3km with mum this morning and 5km this arvo. Forgot to selfie both times. Was busy rage walking to 90s metal on the second one. So I added a walking pic from last month when we were on Taungurung Country. Beautiful day to watch spring bursting into action here on Wadawurrung Country. And what a day for the Treaty process!! ❤️💛🖤

Day 8 - 6.31kms on wadawurrung country.

I had to push myself today. It was a super hard day emotionally, for many reasons. Made myself smash out a 5km walk this evening to make a total of 6.31kms for the day. Walking really is one of the best things I can do for my mental health. 💜

Day 7 - 8.13kms on stormy and windy gadabanud and wadawurrung countries!

Didn't think I was going to get any walking in today with the extreme weather warnings but ended up with a total of 8.13kms! Nearly 6 of those in a t-shirt, mostly sunny 🌞 but with looming grey skies back home. I'm feeling my legs and feet and calves and thighs and butt today after all the elevation yesterday and the first week of walking. Today I made it to 50kms, that's half my goal in week one of the challenge! Feeling good. Thanks for your support everyone and thanks mum for a great weekend of walking 💜.

Day 6 - 8.11kms on Gadabanud Country

We did multiple walks today, all were mind blowingly gorgeous. I totalled 8.11kms and I think mum joined about 6 or 7km of those! 💜
Feeling very privileged to be walking on such amazing Country ❤️💛🖤.

Day 5 - 6.1kms on gorgeous Gadabanud Country.

Day 5, today we left Wadawurrung Country and arrived on Gadabanud Country where we managed a 6.1km walk! Beautiful day for a walk and drive, the water was bright aqua and the sun was hitting the gum leaves making the sweetest smelling glittery tinsel! 😍 🌿 🌊 🌞
Excited about tomorrow's walking plans 💜

Day 4 - 10.1kms!

Day 4 of walking on beautiful Wadawurrung Country. 6km walk this morning full of horny and territorial plovers, warring magpies and ...... more rain. War (The World is a Ghetto) and Black Pumas (Chronicles of a Diamond) giving me and my ears the get up and go. This afternoon mum and I walked around the local cemetery adding 3.5kms...... almost without any rain! I couldn't leave my total at 9.5kms cos it was just so close to 10 so I had to jump on the treadmill for the last .5! Total 10.1kms today! Get to walk on different Country tomorrow! ❤️💛🖤

Day 3 walking on wadawurrung country with black swans 🦢

Day 3 of walking on Wadawurrung Country for pancreatic cancer research. 8.1kms and 11301 steps. Pretty happy with that. No rain, just looming skies, lots of black swans and water hens! Youssef Dayes (Black Classical Music) and Andrew Gurruwiwi (Song your own Song) were the albums on repeat for today's KMs.

Day 2, sun on the gum trees!

I got a good 5.2km walk in today. sun was out for a while and the gums were sparkling. Got warm too. Didn't need a snow jacket! Thank you everyone for your support so far 💜🌳☀️

Very rainy first day walking on wadawurrung land! ☔

Very rainy first day walking on Wadawurrung Land! ☔ Despite the rain, mum and I managed a 3.1km walk for our teams first day! I ended up doing an additional 1km totalling 4.1km for the day. I struggle with motivation in the cold and rain so I'm pretty happy with that for a start. I need to average 3.3kms per day to reach my target but I'm hoping to smash that out and need to up my goal!

Support our challenge to end pancreatic cancer

This September, I'm walking 100km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week. Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating. Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia. But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates. So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 100km to fight this terrible disease. Please make a donation to support me, and together... We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.
